Combustion and the environment
GassTEK performs:
- Theoretical and experimental studies of combustion, explosions, spreading and ignition in different types of processes, equipment and systems.
The research group is a common group for Tel-Tek and Telemark University College, Dep. of Technology.

- Combustion of waste and CO2 neutral fuels
- Gas explosions (hydrocarbon, hydrogen, etc.)
- Spreading and ignition of gas clouds
- Shock waves
- BLEVE (Boiling liquid expanding vapour explosion)
- Super sonic/compressibility flow
- High speed filming (> 5000 frames per. second)
- Accident investigations
- Development of test methods, models and software
