Studies are carried out to address issues of mixing (and segregation) occurred in solids handling by:

• Experimental investigation and verification, where a rotating drum or a fluidization bed in a model-scale is used.

• Mathematical modelling of mixing processing with for instance application of Markov chains, computational code of DEM.
• Development of techniques and cutting-edge equipment /facilities with a pro-mixing tendency
